Spring on the Ninch: Every Kind of Adventure

Spring on the Ninch: Every Kind of Adventure

Spring on the Mornington Peninsula has been a season of contrasts this year - showers rolling through, rainbows arching across the sky, and bursts of sunshine inviting us outdoors for spontaneous adventures. It’s been the kind of spring that keeps you guessing, but also rewards you with magical moments when you least expect them.

We’ve ticked off a few highlights from our Spring Bucket List already. One of the most memorable? Catching the Aurora Australis at Mushroom Reef on the 12th of November. Not quite a rockpool ramble, but a spectacular night sky adventure on a mild spring evening. Our pics don't quite do it justice - time for an equipment upgrade I think!!! It’s these unexpected experiences that remind us why this part of the world is so special.

Markets in Full Bloom

Spring means market season is back in full swing. From the small community markets at Bittern and Shoreham, to the popular Hill & Ridge Market and of course the iconic Emu Plains. We love them all, and are hoping the weather holds for McClelland Makers Market at McClelland Sculpture Park in Langwarrin this weekend. What a spot for a market. You might even see the cute family of ducks that greeted me on my stock visit there last week. So Cute.

Making the Most of the Season

With just a week of spring left, we know this journal entry is arriving a little late to the party - but life outside of Ninch Kids has been wonderfully busy, taking us on new adventures across Victoria (more on those soon!).

As the season winds down, we’re asking ourselves: how will you make the most of it? Whether it’s a coastal walk, a picnic beneath blooming trees or in one of our beautiful gardens, or a wander through one of our favourite local markets, there’s still plenty of time to soak up the magic of spring before summer arrives. If you’re looking for inspiration, our Mornington Peninsula Spring Activity Book is packed with ideas to help families explore, play, and learn together. It’s available as an instant download here. Pair it with our Mornington Peninsula ABC Book for even more local fun.

Share Your Spring
